We’re seeking a results-driven B2B Sales Manager to lead and scale a high-performing sales team within the FMCG sector. This role unites commercial leadership with team development to drive incremental revenue growth, fortress existing partnerships, and spearhead new opportunities with wholesale, distribution, and retail partners.
The ideal candidate will excel in:
- Team mentorship (coaching, upskilling) to achieve/rexceed targets.
- Commercial strategy balancing new growth and account expansion.
- Operational excellence from CRM management to sales data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborative approaches with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Product Development.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of B2B Sales Executives, ensuring holistic development.
- Align team KPIs with organisational goals and drive performance accountability.
- Foster a culture of excellence in service, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity.

Sales & Business Development
- Drive revenue growth across new/expanded accounts within:
- Wholesale
- Retail
- Foodservice
- Distribution
- Identify opportunities and negotiate tailored commercial agreements.
- Cultivate deep customer relationships at decision-maker levels.
Commercial Performance
- Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (revenue + gross profit) are achieved.
- Monitor pipeline forecasting and enhance CRM/digital records accuracy.
- Collaborate with Finance to protect margins and align commercials globally.
Customer Management
- Retain/retain revenue by resolving queries, upselling/cross-selling, and ensuring outstanding service.
- Provide ** customer insights** to Product Development and marketing.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Marketing: Support campaigns and product launches.
- Supply Chain: Harmonise expectations with execution.
- Product Development: Translate customer-facing trends into product opportunities.
Key Metrics & Targets
- Topside: Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets.
- Bottomside: Gross margin performance across accounts.
- Account Expansion: New customer acquisition and existing customer revenue growth.
- Team Efficiency: Sales conversion rates, CRM discipline, employee engagement.
Skills & Experience
Essential Requirements
- ≥ 5 years B2B sales experience within FMCG or fast-moving commercial.
- ≥ 2 years’ sales team management with a focus on coaching high-performers.
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets.
- Strong negotiator with expertise in commercial agreements and promotions.
- Experience in new business pipelines alongside relationship management.
- Exceptional people-leader/coach with a track record of team growth.
- Analytical proficiency (CRM tools, sales reporting) underpinned by structured planning.
- Full UK driving licence.
