B2C Creative Technologist and Content Producer
New Skills Academy
Contract • two and a half days a week • reports to the Chief Creative Officer
About us
academy+ is a training, development and wellbeing company with a simple mission: working hard for the hardest working. Our B2C brand, New Skills Academy, makes high-quality online learning available to anyone who wants to grow – from one-off learners picking up a single course to unlimited learners who can’t get enough.
About the role
We’re looking for an AI native to fill the role of creative technologist and content producer for our B2C brand. The right person will take the reins on producing all the creative content that appears across New Skills Academy social channels and email campaigns. As someone comfortable using existing AI tools and scouting for/adopting new tools as they come to market, you’ll work side by side with the creative and marketing teams to build out our B2C offering and promote it in market to both one-off learners and unlimited learners.
This is a hands-on, mid-level role for someone who loves making great content and using AI tools to do it faster, smarter and better. You’ll plan, produce, publish and refine – and you’ll do it as part of a defined team that values fresh thinking and quick iteration.
This role will suit someone who wants an interesting brief, a lot of autonomy, and a real testing ground for what AI-first creative production can do.
What you’ll do
- Lead the creative for New Skills Academy social channels (Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn) and the email campaigns that sit alongside them.
- Plan and produce a steady stream of on-brand content – including organic social posts, email copy, videos and animations.
- Use AI tools to review the market, build competitor analysis, and shape content strategy and ongoing recommendations.
- Use AI to support content production across the Creative and Marketing teams – from copy and design through to motion and video – with all final output being human-reviewed for QA. We’d love you to feel free to suggest new tools and formats that enhance the brand - then run experiments to see what works best.
- Set up automated tools to track performance, review data and analytics, and use what you learn to optimise live campaigns and plan ahead for future executions.
- Keep your eyes peeled for the latest AI tools, opportunities and relevant software on the market, then test and adopt new tools as they emerge, so we always stay one step ahead.
- Work closely with a defined cross-functional team to grow the B2C offering and reach more learners.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The range of tasks you’ll be involved in is varied and might include some/all of the following - and more…
- Responding to tight briefs and deadlines.
- Creative brainstorming and ideas generation.
- Creating topical or seasonal email campaigns for prospects and customers.
- Scouring socials for interesting content to share or repost, or for conversations we can join in on to help promote the brand (in a gentle, non-sales-y way).
- Setting up AI-driven environments for ongoing creative execution.
- Using AI to create organic posts, videos or animations for New Skills Academy socials.
- Using AI to create videos or animations for our courses (our core product offering).
- Creating automated models to analyse data for continual optimisation and refining of creative executions.

- You’ll be a proactive self-starter who enjoys having autonomy to propose new ideas, run experiments, and continually optimise for maximum reach, engagement and leads.
- Proven experience in content production, strategy, reporting and analytics - ideally in B2C, but we’re open to other experience the right candidate might bring, including fresh-out-of-education individuals with an exciting portfolio.
- Confidence using AI across the full workflow – content strategy, content production, analytics and optimisation.
- A test-and-learn mindset and the comfort to pick up new tools as they appear.
- A love of digging into the data to help refine, adapt, inform, optimise and execute campaigns.
- A good eye for design, copy and motion, and the ability to switch between strategic thinking and hands-on production – meeting clear brand guidelines.
- Strong written copy skills and proofreading, especially for email and social.
- The desire to work as part of a team.
- Ideally, an understanding of the New Skills Academy product and its audience - but, of course, we can help get you up to speed.
