About the Role
Crew Training Specialist (CTS) – Permanent Full-Time Ground Crew Instructor
An exciting Permanent Full-Time position in the BA Euroflyer Training Department is open for Ground Crew Instructors – known as Crew Training Specialists (CTS). This role is responsible for delivering training across multiple domains, including:
- SEP (Single-Engine Piston) training
- CRM (Crew Resource Management)
- First Aid (for Pilot and Cabin Crew communities)
Your duties will include designing, implementing, and maintaining:
- Course material (session plans, training aids, online learning platforms)
- Training content aligned with CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) regulations and Euroflyer standards.

Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Training Delivery: Teach regulatory courses in line with CAA requirements, updating course materials (plans, aids, and digital content) as needed.
- Team Coordination: Mentor and coach Cabin Crew Instructors (CCI) to ensure compliance, standardisation, and continuous professional development.
- Flying Requirements (for External Candidates):
- Must be a certified Cabin Crew Member with a view to advancing to SCCM (Senior Cabin Crew Member) to support the summer flying programme.
- Flying Requirements (for Internal Candidates):
- Current operating rank maintained, with continued flying expected during the summer season (if applicable).
- Assessment and Field Training: Conduct audit inflight assessments and coordinate inflight co-ordination training.
Key Competencies Required:
- Excellent communication skills to train and motivate teams.
- Strong commitment to learning and development through coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
- A strict attention to detail for designing structured training aligned with regulatory standards.
- At least 12 months of experience as a Crew Training Instructor, with prior experience as a cabin crew member or SCCM.

This role operates on a 37.5-hour weekly schedule, with a mix of weekdays and weekends requiring flexibility. Training occurs across Crawley, London Gatwick, and London Heathrow, with travel included.
