Room Leader – Bright Horizons Bank Street Day Nursery and Preschool
Salary: Starting from £32,864 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)
Location: Canary Wharf, London

We’re seeking a Room Leader to join our Baby Room at Bright Horizons Bank Street Day Nursery & Preschool—a purpose-built setting designed to feel like a warm, nurturing home for both children and staff.
Ideally located in Canary Wharf, the nursery is just a short walk from Jubilee Line and DLR stations, ensuring easy commuting from across London.

Responsibilities
As the Room Leader, you will:
- Lead, mentor, support, and inspire your team to deliver exceptional care and education
- Encourage children’s milestones, ensuring they achieve their individual developmental goals
- Foster a fun, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for young children
- Uphold safeguarding and health/safety compliance, ensuring compliance with EYFS guidelines
- Build strong parent/colleague partnerships to meet children’s evolving needs
- Maintain communications with all stakeholders using varied techniques
Requirements
To thrive in this role, we’re seeking:
- A full and relevant Level 3 or higher Early Years qualification
- Previous experience in an Early Years setting, ideally as a:
- Room Leader
- Nursery Nurse
- Nursery Practitioner
- Early Years Educator
- A passion for nurturing fun and inclusive learning for children
- A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Safeguarding expertise, including child protection procedures and legislative requirements
- Exceptional communication skills—able to engage with children, parents, and colleagues
- Critical commitment to teamwork and inclusive care: creating relationships based on trust and accessibility for all
