About the Role
We are searching for an inspiring and nurturing professional to lead our new Baby Room, part of expanded nursery provision for children aged as young as nine months. This opportunity demands a talented leader who can shape an exceptional environment where the youngest members of the St Joseph’s community can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a daily team in the nursery, ensuring high-quality care for babies (aged 0–24 months)
- Foster strong, trusting relationships with children and their families, valuing communication as key to success
- Design and implement innovative, stimulating learning experiences that resonate with young children
- Oversee daily operations including nutrition, sleep, and health & safety compliance
- Champion the school’s values of educational excellence, warmth, and emotional well-being
- Work alongside colleagues and school leadership to enhance nursery provision, ensuring alignment with the well-being and care standards at St Joseph’s

Requirements
The ideal candidate will be:
- Nurturing, organised, and driven with a vision for excellence in early years education
- Passionate about fostering secure attachment and developmental growth in infants
- Proficient in team leadership, balancing structure with flexibility and creativity
- Strongly committed to our core values of safeguarding, diversity, and community-building
- Hold (or be eligible for) an Enhanced DBS Check (mandatory for every applicant)
