Back Office Specialist (Poker)

**Back Office Specialist (Poker) – United Kingdom

This position is managed by a partner company handling all applications and next steps. Join a fast-growing iGaming team supporting the operational success of an innovative online poker platform.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the back-office configuration of tournaments, promotions, loyalty programs, and game settings to ensure a seamless player experience.
  • Collaborate closely with integrity and product teams to maintain platform accuracy through testing, monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Work in a remote-first, technology-driven environment where precision, ownership, and continuous improvement are valued.

Ideal candidates have experience in online poker operations and enjoy working with detailed configurations in a dynamic setting.


Accountabilities

  • Configure and maintain poker platform settings, including:

    • Rake tables
    • Betting limits and caps
    • Prize distributions
    • Tournament structures
  • Organise and manage tournament configurations, such as:

    • Buy-ins and guaranteed prize pools
    • Formats and blind structures
    • Late registration rules, schedules, and player access restrictions
  • Set up and maintain:

    • Rakeback programs
    • Loyalty schemes
    • Bonus mechanics, decay systems, and recurring reward payouts
  • Configure promotional triggers for:

    • Tournament tickets
    • Free spins
    • Free bets
    • Other rewards with correct eligibility criteria and limitations

  • Process operational requests related to:

    • Account restrictions
    • Fund freezes
    • Bonus cancellations (in collaboration with integrity teams)
  • Test all configurations in staging environments, identify issues, and implement timely corrections

  • Monitor:

    • Tournament launches
    • Table activity
    • Promotional functionality for smooth platform operations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and changelogs for completed configurations and operational updates


Requirements

  • At least 6 months of experience in managing the back office of an online poker platform, iGaming operator, or poker club
  • Strong attention to detail for numerical configurations (rake structures, prize pools, payout multipliers)
  • Solid understanding of online poker formats, including:
    • Cash Games
    • Multi-Table Tournaments (MTTs)
    • Spin & Go tournaments
  • Ability to work with operational checklists while maintaining accurate technical documentation
  • Experience with poker platforms such as EvenBet Gaming, PPPoker, ClubGG, or similar (preferred)
  • Knowledge of iGaming bonus mechanics, including:
    • Wagering requirements
    • Reward triggers
    • Payout limitations (desirable)
  • Basic SQL knowledge for validating configurations (considered a plus)
  • Practical poker playing experience to understand gameplay mechanics (beneficial)
  • Strong organisational skills, problem-solving abilities, and remote work independence
