Job Description: Backroom Bar Manager

Position Summary: To provide management and operational execution of the backroom bar. Drive live music promotions, marketing initiatives, and innovative beverage and food recipes, while fostering strong industry relationships. Ensure Hard Rock’s Back Room Bar delivers an unforgettable premium experience for guests.


Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with Café Operations to ensure consistency in recipe execution.
  • Maintain exceptional guest service standards to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Align Cost of Sales (COS) with company goals and financial objectives.
  • Maintain a catalog of premium recipes while continuously innovating.
  • Build and nurture relationships:
    • Vendors (beverage, food, and event partners).
    • Music industry leaders and talent.
    • Marketing and promotions teams to align strategies.
  • Profile, design, and execute innovative marketing and promotional strategies.
  • Develop live music programming, including lead acquisition and exclusive partnerships.
  • Advise on and possibly co-create new recipes for menu rollouts, special events, and experiential programs.
  • Design and launch stimulating beverage contests to drive promotional engagement.
  • Ensure full compliance with company alcohol service policies and local regulations.
  • Develop training programs/tracks to ensure staff execute the concept consistently.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales & Marketing to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Upskill and refine the Back Room Bar concept—balancing creativity with scalability.
  • Operate in both support and hands-on roles when needed to meet operational demands.
  • Work flexible shifts, including weekends and night shifts, to meet business needs.

Requirements:

Experience and Background:

  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment (preferably within live entertainment, bar management, or executive hospitality roles).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Enjoys collaboration with teams, vendors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Track record of successful concept development in beverage, food, or experiential programming.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fluent English with excellent listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills (bilingual bonuses welcomed).
  • Proven sales growth strategies to drive beverage revenue while adhering to company guidelines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for networking, negotiation, and relationship building.
  • Creative mindset with a proven ability to develop marketing campaigns and promotional ideas.
  • Adaptability & bonnes of critical-thinking to thrive in a dynamic, team-driven environment.
  • Physical demands: The role requires standing for extended periods, occasional lifting, and navigating potentially busy environments.
