Role Description
As our Backup & Storage Lead, you will drive the pre-sales process by providing technical expertise, solution design, and strategic guidance to customers, helping identify, position, and deliver Backup & Storage solutions that address their business needs. Working closely with sales, customers, and technical teams, you will support opportunity scoping, proposal development, and solution positioning to drive successful outcomes and business growth. Leveraging your expertise across leading vendors such as AvePoint, Rubrik, Veeam, Commvault, and Cohesity, you will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring customers realize the full value of their Backup & Storage investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Scoping and Sizing Opportunities: Partner with sales teams and clients to assess requirements and accurately scope and size Backup & Storage opportunities aligned with business needs and capabilities
- Solution Design and Proposal Development: Design and position tailored Backup & Storage solutions, leveraging vendor expertise and trusted advisory guidance to help clients achieve their objectives
- Sales Support and Collaboration: Support the sales cycle with solution expertise while identifying growth opportunities and driving strategies that maximize revenue and client satisfaction
- Margin Definition and Alignment: Define competitive pricing strategies, optimize incentives, and maximize margins to support business growth
- Quoting for Strategic, Complex Requests: Own the development of accurate and competitive quotes for complex Backup & Storage opportunities in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Creation and Maintenance of Solution Collaterals: Create and maintain up-to-date Backup & Storage sales collateral that highlights solution value, product updates, and customer success stories

Job Requirements
- Experience analysing complex business challenges problem solving, gathering client requirements, and recommending technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes
- Solid knowledge of VMware and Backup & Storage technologies, with the ability to position relevant solutions based on customer needs, business objectives, and market trends
- Sales acumen with strong commercial awareness and experience identifying opportunities, supporting deal progression, addressing customer objections, and contributing to revenue growth
- Knowledge of Backup & Storage market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies, with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation
- Understanding of sales methodologies and best practices, with experience supporting opportunities throughout the entire sales lifecycle, from discovery and solution design to proposal development and deal closure
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and build trusted relationships
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends and technologies
