Job Description
You will join a high-trust engineering team to build the core infrastructure automating month-end close processes. Working closely with the CPTO, you'll ship features across a Spring Boot and Kotlin stack, solving deep accounting challenges. This role offers significant visibility, requiring a pragmatic approach to testing hypotheses and building scalable, dependable products for global customers.

What You Will Do
- Develop and scale next-generation accounting technology using Spring Boot, Java/Kotlin, MySQL, and OpenSearch hosted on AWS.
- Collaborate directly with the CPTO to design and implement pragmatic solutions that solve complex, real-world finance automation problems.
- Maintain and improve core product features while occasionally contributing to the React/TypeScript frontend and a Ruby on Rails application.
The ideal candidate
- You are an experienced engineer with several years of experience working in fast-paced startup environments as a backend specialist.
- You possess a strong, pragmatic problem-solving mindset and are comfortable working independently or collaboratively as tasks require.
- You have deep expertise in the JVM ecosystem (Java or Kotlin) and are eager to master the complexities of mid-market accounting.
