Job Title: Backend Java Developer
Location: Belfast, UK
Mode of Work: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite Per Week)
Type of Hiring: Permanent / Fixed Term Employment (FTE – 12+ Months)
Note: There will be a Karat Test is Must & It’s a Paid Test

Job Description
- Design, develop and maintain Java based microservices leveraging Spring and Spring Boot frameworks
- Build scalable, resilient and high-performance backend systems as part of a microservices architecture
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions
- Ensure application performance, responsiveness and reliability across diverse business domains
- Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous integration processes to maintain code quality
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing and production environments
- Stay updated with emerging trends and best practices in Java microservices development
- Work with cloud platforms and containerization technologies to deploy and manage applications

Roles and Responsibilities
- Architect and implement Java microservices aligned with business needs
- Lead development efforts focusing on code quality, scalability, security and compliance
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment, monitoring and incident management
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance within the team
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation and agile ceremonies to ensure timely delivery
- Analyze system performance and optimize microservices for efficiency and reliability
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices and organizational policies
- Engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
