Brief
We're recruiting for an experienced Backend Python Developer to join a high-performing technology team with a leading global financial services organisation.
This is a hybrid role and candidates will be expected to work a minimum of 2 days per week onsite in London.
What you'll be doing
- Building scalable Python backend applications and APIs
- Developing data pipelines and data-intensive systems
- Working closely with engineers, data specialists and business stakeholders
- Driving performance, reliability and security across critical platforms

- 5+ year's commercial Python development experience
- Strong backend engineering and system design skills
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB or similar technologies
- Knowledge of APIs, data processing, CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Financial markets experience (Rates, Bonds, Swaps, Futures or Trading Systems) highly desirable
- Quantitative/Quants experience highly desirable
