Job Description
As a Backend Tech Lead at Intelligent Legal Solutions (ILS) Limited, you will guide a distributed engineering team while remaining hands-on with Python and Django. You’ll architect scalable solutions on AWS, mentor senior engineers, and shape the technical roadmap for a platform used by global legal professionals and investment fund managers.

What You Will Do
- Lead the technical design, architecture, and implementation of core platform features using Python 3.10+, Django 4.2, and PostgreSQL.
- Mentor a team of 2-4 backend engineers, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaborative growth.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable technical designs and manageable development sprints.
The ideal candidate
- At least 10 years of professional software development experience, including a minimum of 3 years in technical leadership or mentoring roles.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and Django, with deep experience in system design, database optimization, and search technologies like Elasticsearch.
- Proven experience deploying and scaling high-availability applications on AWS using ECS, Lambda, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Terragrunt.
