Pilgrim’s Europe is a leading food manufacturer, and we are currently looking for Bagger Operative to join our dedicated team in Grantham.

The Role
The Bagging Machine Operative is responsible for operating and monitoring the bagging machine within a frozen chicken production environment. The role involves ensuring continuous, safe, and efficient operation of the equipment while maintaining product quality and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring the correct filling and sealing of bags
- Carrying out regular quality checks on packaging (seal integrity, weight accuracy, labelling, and product presentation)
- Promptly identifying and addressing any defects or non-conformances
- Performing basic machine adjustments and minor repairs to minimize downtime
- Reporting any technical issues requiring maintenance support

The operative is also responsible for completing all relevant production, quality, and traceability documentation accurately and in line with company procedures and legal requirements. Working in a frozen environment, the role requires adherence to health and safety, hygiene, and cold-store working practices at all times, as well as effective communication with supervisors, quality, and maintenance teams.
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday - 06.00-14.00/14.00-22.00 Alternating

Salary
- Starts from £27,904 per year, £536 per week
