The Bakery Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based at Uncle John’s Bakery in London. This role oversees daily bakery operations, including supervising baking schedules, coordinating production, and ensuring all products meet quality and freshness standards. The Bakery Manager leads and supports the team, organizes staff rotas, and provides guidance on baking techniques and food safety practices. Responsibilities include:
- Managing inventory and supplies
- Monitoring stock levels
- Working closely with suppliers to maintain consistent product availability
- Engaging with customers, handling feedback or concerns
- Ensuring an excellent in-store experience
- Contributing to process improvements that support efficiency and profitability

Qualifications
- Strong bakery and baking skills, with experience in bread and cake production
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and compliance with local regulations
- Customer service skills, with a focus on creating a welcoming and respectful environment
- Inventory control skills, including managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and reducing waste
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a bakery, food service, or retail environment
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail under pressure
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and peak periods as required
