Band 2 Administrator - Urgent Community Response / Virtual Wards
Job Summary
The Solihull Urgent Community Response and Virtual Ward Team work as part of the Division to deliver Urgent Community Response, supporting patients within their own homes who are at risk of hospital admission to facilitate them being seen assessed and treated at home. Virtual Wards aim to deliver intervention within the patient's usual place of residence to provide rehabilitation at home, supporting hospital avoidance and early supported discharge. The team work collaboratively with GPs, OPAL plus, West Midlands Ambulance Service, Solihull Community Nursing, Solihull Community therapy etc, with the aim to work as a multidisciplinary team to facilitate care delivered within the community.
An opportunity has become available for an administrator to support the team who is enthusiastic and self motivated to join our friendly integrated Community Hub based at Solihull Hospital.
Prospective applicants must have excellent inter-personal skills, good customer service experience and enjoy dealing with the public on the phone.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed administrator to join our friendly Admin team. There are two posts available, one post is full time, 37.5 hours and one is part time, 22.5 hours which can be flexible within our shift times. The Admin Team support the Community Services teams based on Ward 10 at Solihull Hospital. We provide Admin cover between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am -- 5pm Saturdays and Sundays. We also cover bank holidays throughout the year
Main Duties, Tasks & Skills Required
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and full ranging administration/co-ordination service, liaising with both internal and external agencies and will need excellent communication, time management, administrative and Microsoft office skills. It is essential that the post holder exercises initiative and judgement using acquired skills and knowledge, maintaining confidentiality at all times. The ideal candidate should be organised, proactive and flexible. Previous experience and IT skills are essential.

Qualifications
Essential
- Good General Education (e.g. GCSE English and Maths A-C) or GCSE Level 9-4
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (eg. Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Experience of using IT systems
- Experience of working in a busy office / customer care environment
Desirable
- Experience of working in Healthcare

- Work effectively and flexibly as part of a team to meet the needs of the services
- Confident in dealing with people at all levels
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of equality and diversity
