Job Summary
Join our friendly Community Therapies Administration Team based at Chelmsley Wood Primary Care Centre. We have two exciting part-time opportunities supporting either our Community Musculoskeletal (MSK) or Community Podiatry Service. These are rewarding roles where you will make a real difference by ensuring patients receive a professional, compassionate and efficient administrative service from referral through to treatment.
As part of a supportive and experienced team, you will work closely with clinicians, patients, GPs and other healthcare professionals, helping to coordinate appointments and maintain high-quality patient records. We are looking for enthusiastic, organised and customer-focused individuals with excellent communication skills, strong IT abilities and a positive approach to teamwork. If you enjoy working in a busy environment where no two days are the same and take pride in delivering excellent patient care through outstanding administration, we would love to hear from you.
There Are Two Vacancies Available
Community MSK Administrator
- 26.5 hours per week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00am–4:00pm (30-minute unpaid break) and Thursday 10:00am–2:00pm.
Community Podiatry Administrator
- 25.5 hours per week: Monday 9:15am–2:30pm and Tuesday to Friday 9:15am–2:15pm.

Main Duties, Tasks & Skills Required
The successful candidates will provide a comprehensive administrative service to support the delivery of Community Therapy services. Duties include:
- Managing telephone enquiries
- Booking and rearranging patient appointments
- Maintaining accurate electronic patient records
- Processing referrals
- Responding to emails
- Preparing clinical documentation
- Providing administrative support to the wider multidisciplinary team

You will use a range of Trust IT systems to ensure information is recorded accurately and confidentially while delivering a professional and compassionate service to patients and colleagues. You should be well organised, able to prioritise your workload, work accurately under pressure and communicate effectively with a wide range of people. Previous administrative or customer service experience and good Microsoft Office skills are essential, while NHS or healthcare experience would be an advantage.

Qualifications
Essential
- Good General Education (e.g. GCSE English and Maths A-C) or GCSE Level 9-4
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Experience of using IT systems
- Experience of working in a busy office / customer care environment
Desirable
- Experience of working in Healthcare
Additional Criteria
Essential
- Work effectively and flexibly as part of a team to meet the needs of the services
- Confident in dealing with people at all levels
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of equality and diversity
- Ability to travel to multiple sites
- The post holder will have the ability to pay attention to detail where there are predictable interruptions to the work pattern
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations
