The Catering Supervisor is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and high-quality day-to-day delivery of catering services at the Uffculme Centre within Corporate Services.

Role Overview

The post holder's main role will be to cook for the cafe and supervise the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and on-site café, support hospitality and catering provision for meetings and events, and ensure that food safety, hygiene, customer service, and presentation standards are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and oversee daily food production for the on-site café and hospitality services.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision of catering staff and allocate duties during shifts.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, presentation, and customer care.
  • Support catering provision for internal meetings, training events, corporate hospitality, and other functions.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, HACCP, allergen requirements, health and safety legislation, and Trust policies.
  • Monitor stock, wastage, and service standards to support efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Deputise for the Hospitality and Events Manager when required, within the scope of the role.
