To assist in the provision of quality evidence-based nursing advice, support, and care under the guidance of a qualified nurse for service users with health and social care needs, and their carers within a multidisciplinary setting under circumstances of minimal supervision.
- Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care under the guidance of the qualified nurse.
- Have a working knowledge of local, national policies, and legislation which govern current service provision.
- Assist in the development and provision of social/therapeutic activities for service users.
- Promote effective therapeutic relationships, which meet and address the issues of spirituality, equality, diversity, and rights in accordance with good practice and legislation.
- Ensure effective communication pathways exist, acting as a role model to junior staff and within their sphere of responsibility, in a manner which positively reflects the values of the organisation.
