We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated and customer-focused People Assistant to join our People and Culture team.

This is a key role at the heart of our People Operations service, where you will be the first point of contact for colleagues across the Trust. You will play an important part in delivering a responsive, compassionate and high-quality HR service—ensuring our staff feel supported, informed and valued at every stage of their employment journey.

Working as part of a small, dedicated team, you will help deliver a consistent and accessible first-line service, supporting both day-to-day enquiries and a range of people processes that underpin the effective running of the organisation.

As a team we are proud to work in an agile way, with regular time at home, at our base at the Trust HQ and at sites across Birmingham and Solihull. Therefore, this post includes weekly work from Trust sites with opportunities for working from home.

As a People Assistant, You Will

  • Provide timely, accurate and empathetic first-line HR advice and guidance to staff and managers
  • Act as a central point of contact, triaging enquiries and ensuring appropriate escalation where required
  • Deliver high-quality administrative support across key people processes, including casework, job evaluation and meetings
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across HR systems, supporting data quality and compliance
  • Contribute to the development and use of knowledge bases, templates and standard operating procedures
  • Support projects and service improvements that enhance the experience of our staff and managers
