An Opportunity for a Clinical Trials Assistant
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Clinical Trials Assistant to work with research staff on clinical research studies at all sites within West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (WHTH).
About the Role
As a Clinical Trials Assistant, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive research support, including (but not limited to) administrative tasks, data collection, and coordination of trials.
Key Details
- Appointment: Fixed term for one year in the first instance
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
- Band: Dependent on research experience
- Interview Process: Two-stage. Stage 1 includes a 20-minute Microsoft Excel Task on 06th August 2026. Successful candidates will proceed to an in-person interview on 07th August 2026.
- Visa Sponsorship: Not available for this role. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
The post holder will assist in supporting a portfolio of clinical research studies, from study set-up to archiving, in accordance with clinical trial protocols, local SOPs, and all relevant regulatory standards.

- Collaborate with the R&D department and all members of the multidisciplinary team to assist with the conduct of research studies.
