BAND 4 THERAPY ASSISTANT PRACTITIONER - Cardio-Respiratory and Surgery (CRS)

Permanent | Part Time (33 hours per week)

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our supportive, forward-looking Therapy Team.

We are seeking individuals to provide delegated treatment and rehabilitation to patients and support them in their discharge from the acute hospital in a timely manner. You will have your own clinical caseload and undertake assessments under the direction of both Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. You will gain experience across our Respiratory, Surgical and Cardiac wards and work with a wide multidisciplinary team.

We are an innovative team and always looking at how we can improve what we provide to our patients and improve our services. We are particularly interested in candidates who share our passion for service development and increasing the profile of Therapy Assistant Practitioners to improve patient outcomes.

We are looking for positive, proactive candidates who wants to work as part of a dynamic team in a busy clinical environment. You would play a key role in gathering information from patients and their relatives/carers to understand their social, environmental and living circumstances, and the impact of their illness or surgery on daily activities. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients, providing therapy and rehabilitation following a range of conditions which may impact patients physically and psychologically. You will plan and implement functional and cognitive interventions to support patients in achieving their goals, providing adaptive equipment and aids and evaluating outcomes of treatments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
