Job Title: Accident & Emergency Nurse
Banding: Band 5 & Band 6
Location: Huddersfield
Hourly Pay Rate: £17.00 – £33.00 per hour
Pulse Nursing is seeking skilled and experienced Accident & Emergency nurses to join our team at Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS FT.
As an A&E nurse, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional, patient-centred care. This highly rewarding role offers the opportunity to continuously develop your clinical skills while making a meaningful difference to patients at some of their most critical moments.
PAYE rates are £17.00 per hour for days, £23.00 for nights and Saturdays, and £29.00 for Sundays and bank holidays, or Umbrella rates are £20.00 per hour for days, £26.50 for nights and Saturdays, and £33.00 for Sundays and bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care within a busy Accident & Emergency department
- Assess, monitor, and manage patients presenting with acute and emergency conditions
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and safe patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation
- Adhere to NMC guidelines, trust policies, and clinical governance standards
- Respond calmly and effectively in high-pressure and emergency situations

Skills & Qualifications
- Valid NMC registration
- Minimum of 6 months’ recent A&E experience within the last 12 months
- Ability to provide two professional references covering the previous 3 years
- Compliance with framework requirements, including DBS and Occupational Health clearance
- Proof of right to work in the UK
- Strong clinical knowledge and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
