Band 6 Occupational Health Adviser – West Hertfordshire NHS Trust

About the Role
As a Band 6 Occupational Health Adviser, you will be a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, ensuring the health, wellbeing, and safety of our workforce through expert advice, screening, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Working both autonomously and collaboratively, you will:

Manage your own caseload of management referrals, providing evidence-based guidance on:
- Fitness for work
- Rehabilitation
- Reasonable workplace adjustments

Deliver essential services including:
- Occupational health screening
- Immunisations
- Health surveillance programmes

Assess and mitigate workplace risks, including:
- Infection control issues
- Exposure incidents

Support managers and staff through:

Drive service development by contributing to:
- Quality improvement initiatives
- New ways of working as our service evolves

Collaborate closely with HR, Health & Safety, Infection Control, and clinical teams to ensure a cohesive approach.
Organization Expansion and Innovation
West Hertfordshire Hospitals is growing across multiple fronts:
- Construction of a new hospital in Watford
- Upgrades to theatres at St Albans City Hospital
- Development of a neighbourhood healthcare centre in Hemel Hempstead
