Occupational Therapist – Mental Health Older Adults (Inpatient Ward) – Wiltshire
The Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) is recruiting an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to work within an inpatient mental health older adults setting, covering both organic and functional wards within the Wiltshire area. This role will involve assessing and treating patients with mental health and physical needs using comprehensive occupational therapy interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide holistic, autonomous occupational therapy assessment and treatment tailored to patients’ mental and physical requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team (MDT), including fellow Occupational Therapists within Amblescroft wards.
- Deliver individual specialist assessments and group-based occupational therapy interventions.
- Manage a complex caseload with effective prioritisation to meet service demands.
- Offer supervision and training to rotational B5 Occupational Therapists and support staff.
- Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) and regular supervision in alignment with Trust guidance.
