About the Role
We seek a dedicated registered clinician with:
- At least 2 years of NHS experience
- A real interest in working with individuals experiencing serious mental illness (SMI)
This role is dynamic and fulfilling, with no two days the same. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT), primarily working on our inpatient wards (adult and older adult), with opportunities to expand into community services over time.
The ideal candidate will inspire, motivate, and encourage individuals suffering from both complex mental and physical health needs.
Physiotherapy in Mental Health is gaining recognition for addressing health disparities faced by those with SMI. This role offers:

Key Responsibilities
- Provide physiotherapy services to service users on our adult and older adult wards
- Develop community service delivery
- Engage in:
- Assessment
- Treatment planning and intervention
- Review and evaluation of complex caseloads
- Collaborate with local acute hospital physiotherapy and rehab teams
- Provide onward signposting to:
- Community groups
- Community activity/sport/health resources
