We have an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join our medical therapy team at Watford General Hospital.

This is a part-time post, working 30.5 hours per week.

This post would be suitable for an experienced band 5 looking to progress in their career, or an existing band 6 looking to build on their skills.

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the therapy seven-day working rota (frequency of 1:4 - 1:6 weekends) with rest days in the following week, along with a requirement to be on the Respiratory on call evening rota.

We offer training opportunities to help you develop your specialist skills, as well as leadership training opportunities and access to externally funded courses.

The successful candidate would be providing highly skilled physiotherapy assessment and treatment of patients across the Stroke unit at Watford General Hospital.

Candidates should have experience with a variety of patient cohorts including medical, neurological and stroke conditions. Candidates should have an awareness of discharge pathways within the NHS and social care.

The successful candidate will join a growing integrated team of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists and will have the opportunity to develop both their clinical and supervisory skills.

Excellent clinical reasoning and therapy handling skills are a prerequisite for this post.

With a new hospital planned for Watford, work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital and plans for a neighbourhood healthcare centre in Hemel Hempstead, this is an exciting time to join us.
