Band 6 Project Manager

Project Manager (Band 6) – Health Innovation West Midlands

Job Summary

The Project Manager role at Health Innovation West Midlands (HIWM) is central to driving healthcare transformation through innovation and improvement. Working within a collaborative matrix structure, you will manage and support projects across the innovation pipeline—national, regional, or local—helping to implement new ideas and evaluate their patient outcomes and care variations.

This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse initiatives that improve patient outcomes while leveraging proven methodologies and tools to deliver projects efficiently. You’ll engage with multi-stakeholder networks across health, social care, and industry. Joining HIWM means being part of a forward-thinking organisation that values inclusivity, bold ideas, and continuous learning.

If you are passionate about healthcare transformation and thrive in dynamic, multi-stakeholder environments, this role is for you.

Main Duties & Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and deliver projects to agreed timelines and governance standards, supporting innovation adoption and health system improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate multi-stakeholder meetings, monitor progress, and adapt delivery plans as needed.
  • Contribute to evaluations, data analysis, and reporting, ensuring compliance with quality and governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate across health, social care, and industry sectors to drive patient-centred solutions.
  • Use evidence-based improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, design thinking) and advanced project management tools.
  • Present outcomes, reports, and management feedback at senior decision-making forums.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
