Band 6 Therapy Radiographer-Chelsea Site
The Chelsea Radiotherapy department has four Varian linear accelerators, a Cyberknife and a Brachytherapy Suite. We have a Siemens Confidence CT scanner and utilise multi-modality imaging for planning.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a caring, enthusiastic, and highly motivated therapy radiographer to join our team in a Band 6 role. The ideal candidate will be given the training and support to be confident delivering advanced radiotherapy techniques such as SABR, SRS/T, IMRT, VMAT, VIBH and IGRT. The role will entail working closely with the Band 7 radiographer to provide an efficient and high-quality service for patients, therefore advanced communication skills are essential.
This role will give you the opportunity to work at the cutting edge of radiotherapy development in a forward thinking and technically advance department for the benefit of your patients. We know how apprehensive people with cancer can be about their treatment and the support and encouragement that radiographers are able to provide to each patient at this stage of treatment is crucial.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
