Make a real difference where it matters most.
Are you a passionate Sexual Health Nurse ready to take your impact beyond the clinic walls? At HCRG Care Group, we’re redefining community sexual health – reaching people who need us most and tackling health inequalities head-on.
This is more than a nursing role. It’s your opportunity to shape services, influence outcomes, and deliver care in a way that truly changes lives.
You will receive a Band 6 AfC salary with NHS pension and Agenda for Change terms and conditions.
As an Outreach Nurse Specialist, you’ll deliver high-quality sexual health and contraception services directly into communities, focusing on people who may not otherwise access care.
You will:
- Provide expert, dual-trained sexual health and contraception care
- Lead and deliver outreach to marginalised and underserved groups
- Identify unmet needs and design targeted interventions
- Work closely with partners including mental health services, homelessness teams, and voluntary organisations
- Ensure smooth pathways between outreach and clinic services for complex cases
You’ll also play a key role in:
- Service development and transformation
- Data-driven planning and evaluation of outreach activity
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues and students
- Promoting innovation and continuous improvement
This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week, worked across five days, with evening and occasional weekend work required. A full driving licence is essential to enable travel between clinic sites and community locations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
