Role: Speech & Language Therapist Banding: Band 6/7 depending on experience Location: Barnet Salary: £29 to £34 p/h Shift pattern: Mon-Fri 08 :00AM to 16:00PM
The AHP team at Pulse is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech & Language Therapist to join our dynamic team in Barnet. Our centre is dedicated to supporting individuals with challenging and complex needs, helping them progress through a specialized neuro-behavioural rehabilitation programme.
Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:
You will facilitate therapeutic group sessions to help individuals improve their speech and communication skills. You will build rapport with service users, encouraging their engagement and empowering their recovery. You will utilize your specialist skills to manage complex cases, considering cultural and linguistic differences, and develop appropriate strategies for caseload management. You will conduct audits and contribute to research to enhance treatment provision. You will apply your specialist knowledge in neuro-behavioural, brain injury, and specialist care.
What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist:

- HCPC Registration: Must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Dysphagia Management: Experience in managing a caseload involving the assessment and treatment of dysphagia.
- Family Collaboration: Experience working with families to support patient care.
- Relevant specialist B6/7 level clinical experience working in acute inpatient stroke + neurology essential for role.
- Instrument (FEES / VF) skills desirable.
- Relevant CPD/training.
- NHS experiences desirable
