Role Overview
We are delighted to be able to offer a committed and experienced Nurse, who will provide clear leadership within the multi-disciplinary team and provide line management support to identified staff. This is an opportunity to join our team of Clinical Services Coordinators, within our friendly and forward-thinking children’s community Neurodevelopmental Team.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with our AHP and Nursing service leads to ensure our teams are able to provide a safe and effective Autism Assessment Service for our Children, Young People and their families.
- Work closely with the Operational Manager, ensuring efficient delivery of assessments for children and young people.
- Liaise with the wider system across health, education, and social care to offer the best possible support to families of children with suspected ASD/ADHD/neurodevelopmental needs.
- Make effective use of our virtual and mobile working technology and IT systems, requiring good IT skills.
- Work with the Service Leads for NDP to ensure that services provided meet local and national standards applicable to the work undertaken within the centre.
- Support the Service Leads for NDP in developing positive and effective relationships and partnership working with early years settings and providers across all agencies/sectors in the area in which the CDC is located, promoting inclusive practice to the benefit of disabled children.
- Where there are centre managers in place, work with the Centre Manager to ensure that services provided are delivered in an integrated way, within available resources and according to clinical and service priorities of the Children and Families Division.
- Deputise for the Service Leads for NDP on an infrequent basis, if required.

Additional Responsibilities
- Take a lead in working with other agencies to facilitate the development of integrated services for children with additional needs in the local community.
- Ensure supportive staff management arrangements are in place, including managing attendance, sickness absence, and performance.
- Contribute to the recruitment and selection of staff where appropriate.
- Develop staff knowledge and skills to promote equality and diversity and address inequalities both in employment and service delivery. Ensure specific objectives are included in PDR.
