Advert for Talking Therapies High Intensity Counsellor - Band 6/7

NHS Enfield Talking Therapies Service is provided by the North London NHS Trust (NLFT). We provide psychological / psychotherapeutic services to all residents over the age of 18 within our borough.

The postholder will deliver brief focussed counselling to service users presenting with depression. Applicants must have experience of working with diverse patient populations, and within a primary care setting.

We are a large, well established and friendly team of CBT therapists, counsellors, administrators and employment support workers. You will have access to training opportunities and supervision from experienced senior staff. We are committed to staff wellbeing and career progression, for which we have an excellent track record.

Applicants must meet accreditation requirements as outlined in the job description (or demonstrate that applications have been submitted to the relevant professional body). Applicants who have completed a Talking Therapies modality qualification (CFD, CTFD, DIT, IPT) will be offered a band 7 position; applicants who are not in possession of the same will be offered the post at band 6 and will be supported to get onto an NHSE training within one of the above modalities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
