Job Title: Locum Vascular Scientist Banding: 7 Location: Stoke Start: 23/01/2025 Duration: 3 months Rate: £45- £60 Working hours: Full time
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Locum Vascular Scientist to join our team in Stoke. This role is essential in providing high-quality vascular ultrasound services to our patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing vascular ultrasounds, ensuring accurate and timely diagnostics. This position requires a professional with strong technical skills and the ability to work independently. You will be joining a supportive and dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.
What will your responsibilities be:
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting vascular ultrasound examinations, including carotid, aortic, and peripheral arterial and venous studies. You will independently perform scans and generate detailed reports, ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Your duties will include maintaining accurate records, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and staying updated with the latest advancements in vascular science. You will be expected to participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the vascular service.

Qualifications and Experiences:
- Fully accredited member of the UK SVT (Society for Vascular Technology) or HCPC registered in vascular science
- Proven experience in vascular ultrasound
- Strong technical skills in vascular science
- Proficiency in conducting carotid, aortic, and peripheral arterial and venous studies
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and high standards of patient care
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload
- Commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement
