General Occupational Therapist (Band 7)

Location: London

Pay Rate: Competitive

Shift Pattern: To be confirmed

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in London. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to our patients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant clinical environment, supporting patients in achieving their maximum independence and improving their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' occupational performance and develop tailored intervention plans.
  • Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to enhance patients' functional abilities.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy interventions and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with trust policies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to training of junior staff and students.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Relevant degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Completion of NHS mandatory training.
  • Proven experience working as an Occupational Therapist within the NHS or similar healthcare setting.

Desirable Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Experience in specific areas of occupational therapy practice (e.g., neurological, mental health, paediatrics) is advantageous.
