Job Description: Band 7 Podiatrist

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 7 Chiropodist/Podiatrist to join our dynamic team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and innovative clinical environment, providing high-quality podiatry services to our diverse patient population. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient care and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for patients with a range of foot and lower limb conditions.
  • Perform clinical procedures including nail surgery, wound care, and orthotic provision.
  • Educate patients on foot care and provide advice on managing their conditions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Participate in clinical governance activities and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff and students as required.

Required Qualifications And Experience

  • HCPC registration as a Chiropodist/Podiatrist.
  • Relevant degree or diploma in Chiropody/Podiatry.
  • Completion of NHS mandatory training.
  • Proven experience working as a Chiropodist/Podiatrist within the NHS or a similar healthcare setting.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in nail surgery and advanced wound care.
  • Competence in the provision of custom-made orthotics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous improvement.
