Band 8a Midwife Sonographer Locum - Derby

- Rate: £40.00 - £45.00 per hour
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our team at Derby. As a Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. Your primary focus will be on obstetric scans, ensuring accurate and detailed assessments. The duration of this contract will be ongoing.
Responsibilities: Include performing obstetric ultrasound scans using state-of-the-art equipment, assessing fetal development, monitoring pregnancies, and detecting any abnormalities. The role involves collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret scan results, maintaining accurate records while ensuring patient confidentiality, and providing compassionate care and excellent communication to patients during the scanning process.

Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent.
- Experience in abdomen and pelvic scans.
- Proficiency in using ultrasound machines and associated software.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- HCPC registration.
- 1 year of UK experience as a Sonographer in the NHS and private sector.
