About the Role If so, we invite you to apply for the Principal Practitioner Psychologist position in our Steps to Recovery inpatient rehabilitation services.
Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust operates a community rehabilitation team and seven Steps to Recovery units, offering diverse mental health rehabilitation services. This post is based at Hertford House, a Level 1 Community Rehabilitation Unit located in Olton, Solihull.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the multidisciplinary team at Hertford House, collaborating with the clinical leadership team and building strong relationships with service users.
- Create and enhance wellbeing and support recovery through evidence-based practices and detailed clinical work.
- Join a well-established, supportive psychological practice network operating across community, inpatient rehabilitation, and Assertive Outreach teams.
This part-time role requires approximately 2 days per week (0.4 whole-time equivalent). Individuals at Band 8b or with comparable experience will be considered.

Develop skills in team-based working, specialist assessment, shared formulation, and application of evidence-based psychological interventions.

Support and encourage positive risk-taking among service users for self-governance.

Contribute to and support the training, supervision, and reflective practice programs available to colleagues. Experience and Background

Work experience in multidisciplinary teams is highly desirable.

Experience working with clients from culturally and socially diverse communities and those with a range of mental health needs.
