Salary: £13.45 per hour

Working Hours:

  • Contract: Bank 0-hour contract
  • Shift Times: 09:30 - 17:30

About the Role

Shaw healthcare is seeking an Activities Champion to join our team in Maes-Y-Wennol, a facility dedicated to delivering exceptional care tailored to its service users. Our focus is on creating meaningful stimulation, fostering connections, and ensuring residents’, their families, and our staff receive the highest standard of care—comparable to what we’d provide for our own family.

Core Responsibilities

As the Activities Champion, your role will include:

  • Creating personalised activity profiles for each service user, collaborating with care staff.
  • Ensuring safe and responsible usage of all activity and care equipment.
  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records of residents’ activities.
  • Liaising with the senior nurse on duty regarding outings, including accessibility and toileting considerations.
  • Researching prospective outings to ensure suitability and accessibility.
  • Engaging with senior care assistants to access up-to-date medical or nursing information pertinent to service users.
