Bank Administration Assistant
Hours: Flexible, Zero-hour contract
Location: Fulwood Hall Hospital, Preston
The Role
We are looking for a Bank Administrative Assistant to join our team at Fulwood Hall Hospital. You will be an integral part of a team who are committed to delivering the highest quality outcomes in a supported environment, where you will be valued for your skills and expertise.
This is an extremely busy role liaising with patients, consultants, and all hospital departments. We need an individual with a professional approach, excellent verbal communication skills, initiative, the ability to work within a team, and adaptable.
What You Will Bring
- Experience in a front-facing or customer service role
- Strong IT skills
- Maths/English to GCSE level or equivalent
- Proven organizational and communication skills at all levels, both written and oral
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including databases
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and consultants on a day-to-day basis applying appropriate methods and interpersonal skills
- Positive, willing attitude
- Self-motivated and possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and above all customer service skills
- Previous use of an Electronic Patient Record system (desired not required)
Where You Will Be Based
Fulwood Hall Hospital was opened as a purpose-built facility in 1986. Independent patient satisfaction surveys show that 99% of our patients would recommend the hospital to family and friends and due to careful screening and rigorous infection control processes, the hospital continues to have a 0% MRSA incidence.
The hospital has eight private consulting rooms supported by a fully equipped outpatient treatment room, a pre-operative assessment unit for screening and assessing patients prior to surgery as well as modern imaging facilities and a brand-new physio and sports therapy department including gymnasium.

What is a Bank Contract
A Bank contract at Ramsay Health Care UK is a flexible employment agreement where you are not committed to a set number of hours per week. Instead, you work on an ad-hoc basis, filling in shifts that we have available in our hospitals.
A Bank contract is ideal for individuals seeking flexibility, as it allows you to choose shifts that fit your availability, leaving you with a greater work-life balance. Bank contracts are also a fantastic way to secure additional income alongside other contracted work.
Our Bank staff play a crucial role in maintaining service levels during peak times or staff shortages, ensuring that patient care remains uninterrupted.
