Role Overview

Interested in a role shaping future doctors’ understanding of community care and patients’ lived experiences?

Interested in providing support to medical students face-to-face, working for SWFT in collaboration with Warwick Medical School to plan, deliver and evaluate a programme of Community Learning?

If so, this role is for you!

Responsibilities

This bank role involves:

  • Facilitating learning
  • Providing a face-to-face placement
  • Being actively involved in formative and summative assessment of students on the Community Learning Module
  • Sourcing patients for students to interview face-to-face in their homes
  • Engaging agencies providing care to the patients to be interviewed face-to-face or virtually
  • Facilitating community days in a community base in South Warwickshire

Requirements

Experience and knowledge of working in a community setting is an essential requirement.

Commitment

The role typically requires 15-23 days commitment a year.

Collaboration

The post holder will work collaboratively with Warwick Medical School in the planning, delivery and evaluation of the community focused modules.

Training

Training will be provided.

Key Features

  • Involvement in programme development and teaching with Warwick University
  • Development of the placement programme involves organising agency interviews, case finding and coordination of the programme
  • Evaluation of the programme is a key role and done in conjunction with the University
  • Provision of learning support to Medical Students undertaking Community focused modules
