About the Role

Trenerwydd, our dedicated care home, is looking for a Bank Chefs to join their team. Here, you’ll play a vital role in transforming the lives of residents with nutritious, home-cooked meals while fostering a warm, personalised experience. Trenewydd prides itself on delivering exceptional, family-directed care.

Your impact here is every bit as important as the food you serve.


Responsibilities

As a Bank Cook, you’llCollaborate with the Home Manager, Nutritional Therapist, and team to ensure fresh, high-quality meals for residents daily—paying attention to individual preferences and cultural backgrounds.

Key Duties Include:

  • Prepare, cook, and serve meals on time, ensuring variety, nutrition, and compliance with dietary requirements.
  • Organise and celebrate special occasions at the home (e.g., birthdays, festivals).
  • Manage catering budgets and supply orders within company guidelines.
  • Maintain HACCP compliance for food safety and document all catering work accurately.
  • Assist in regulatory inspections by Environmental Health, care inspectors, or local authorities.
  • Uphold strict hygiene standards, adhering to HACCP and COSHH protocols.
  • Promote a safe working environment—ensuring adherence to Health & Safety Laws and employee welfare.
  • Lead the catering team when in a shadow or supervisory capacity.
