Care & Support Worker (Cleaner) – Kingfisher House Care Home
About Our Home:
Kingfisher House Care Home is a warm and welcoming nursing home offering a spacious and comfortable environment for older adults, with 24-hour care and support.
Responsibilities:
- Vacuuming of rooms and corridors, emptying all waste bins
- Cleaning glass and mirrors as well as dusting cobwebs
- Sweeping and mopping floor surfaces
- Deep cleaning bathrooms and toilets, with strict adherence to germ control and infestation guidelines
- Clearing assigned areas, including:
- Furniture
- Fittings
- Fabrics, carpets, and equipment
- Ensuring rooms are odor-free
- Being aware of health and safety, including COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations
- Reporting malfunctioning equipment or fittings requiring maintenance or assessing if standards can be met through cleaning alone
- Notifying records of any cleaning materials requiring replacement
- Keeping cleaning areas tidy and materials stored safely
- Waste disposal following prescribed procedures
- Working within required care standards and regulations
- Maintaining full confidentiality of client and business information
