Experienced Driver – Self-Managed Rotas (Lakefield Neurological Centre)
Are you an experienced Driver looking to take control of your own rota with the flexibility to choose shifts that suit your schedule?
Whether you’re aiming for extra income or a part-time role that fits around your lifestyle, our staff bank offers that flexibility. After completing a two-week paid induction, successful applicants will have access to Driving and on-site escorting shifts at Lakefield Neurological Centre.
Key Benefits
- No minimum hours required – Work as little or as much as you prefer.
- Hourly rate of £13.50 (including a 12.07% uplift for annual leave).

- No public sector restrictions – Open to drivers from NHS or private sector backgrounds.

Responsibilities of the Bank Driver
As a Bank Driver, your role will involve:
- Driving patients and staff to various locations, ensuring safe, timely, and efficient trips.
- Escorting staff and visitors to/from the unit as directed by the Line Manager.
- Collecting and delivering consumables, assets, or equipment when not on نقل passengers.
- Maintaining hospital vehicles, including:
- Regular cleaning and inspections.
- Reporting and resolving faults or damages promptly.
- Ensuring vehicles are fuelled as required and records are up to date.

Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
- Demonstrate a track record of safe driving.
- Have strong team-working skills with a self-motivated, flexible approach.
- Maintain a positive, caring, and compassionate attitude.
Where You’ll Work
You will be based at: Lakefield Neurological Centre Lambourne Road, Chigwell, IG7 6HH
This 22-bed facility provides specialist 24/7 nursing and therapy for individuals with complex neurological conditions. Key features include:
- Individualised adaptable bedrooms with hoists, suction, and oxygen equipment.
- Therapy rooms, accessible gardens, and comfortable communal spaces.
- Neuro-rehabilitation services, covering tracheostomy and ventilator care.
