Handyperson | Maintenance | Wrexham | Private Hospital | Mornings, Evenings and Weekends | Flexible Working Hours | Zero-Hours Contract | £12.76 per hour + Excellent Benefits
Spire Yale Hospital in Wrexham has an exciting opportunity for a General Handyperson to join our dynamic and experienced Engineering team. This role will be offered on an as-and-when-required basis, supporting the team with light maintenance duties across the hospital.

Working Hours
Various shifts are available Monday to Friday, with the potential for additional shifts on weekends as required. Flexibility is essential.
Contract Type
Bank / zero-hours contract
As a Handyperson, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out small building works, such as internal decorating, putting up shelving and general maintenance duties.
- Supporting with the maintenance of the hospital estate, including grounds, buildings and services, ensuring they are kept in a good state of repair.
- Reporting any defects and identifying appropriate courses of action for any repairs required.
- Carrying out small building works, such as internal redecoration, minor structural alterations and repairs, using external contractors where appropriate.
- Assisting with any other reasonable duties required by your line manager.
- Completing ongoing training appropriate to the role, as well as attending mandatory training sessions.
- Complying with obligations in respect of Health and Safety at Work legislation and fire procedures, ensuring compliance within the department.

Who We Are Looking For
- Experience in painting, repairs and general maintenance.
- Relevant certificates, or a willingness to undertake specialist training in specific areas.
- A full, clean driving licence is essential.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Excellent customer care skills.
- The ability to work without supervision.
- The ability to work weekends.
