Bank Facilities Assistants
Bank Facilities Assistants – Caithness General Hospital, Wick
The successful applicant’s role will be to provide essential services to the Catering, Laundry, and Domestic Services teams at Caithness General Hospital.
Role Overview
The Bank Facilities Assistants will play a critical role in ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and service delivery in line with:
- Local infection control policies
- COVID-19 guidance
- NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification
- Waste Regulations
Duties include:
- Meeting specified cleaning schedules and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Assisting with catering regeneration, including meal preparation, salad assembly, sandwich-making, and snacks
- Ensuring laundry services meet NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specifications
- Supporting Domestics & laundry teams in maintaining hospital environments
Key Responsibilities
- Operating as a banking staff role, available for shifts as and when required (including weekends)
- Adhering to strict hygiene, infection control, and waste management protocols
- Maintaining compliance with hospital internal policies and NHS Scotland regulations
- Assisting in meal preparation and catering operations

Pay & Terms
- Hourly rate of £14.22, with an attractive weekend working rate
- Full induction and training package provided
