Great service doesn’t change just because the setting does. If you’ve worked in hospitality, retail or any role where people come first, you’ll know the difference a thoughtful interaction can make. And in a hospital, those moments matter even more. As a BANK Food and Beverage Assistant, you’ll bring the same pride, attention to detail and care you’d offer any customer to our patients, supporting them with high-quality, freshly prepared meals and helping them feel well looked after throughout their stay.
Whether you’re guiding someone through the menu or delivering their food with care and attention, you’ll help create an experience that feels calm, personal and reassuring. Our food is prepared to an exceptional standard, and you’ll play a key part in presenting it with the warmth and professionalism it deserves. It takes a special kind of person to do this role, but if you naturally bring a warmth and confidence to the way you interact with others, we’re confident you’ll fit right in here.
Above all else, we’re committed to the care and improvement of human life. It’s this guiding vision that influences everything we do at HCA UK. From the CEO to the colleagues on the floor we all have a part to play in delivering exceptional care to our patients. Other’s may think this is just a role in Hotel Services but to us, you’ll be part of a wider team with a unique sense of purpose, one that helps improve lives on a daily basis.
What You’ll Do
You’ll deliver a standard of service no different to a high-end hotel or restaurant, where the focus is on being attentive and giving people a positive experience. Meals are an important part of any hospital stay, and you’ll help make that experience smooth and comfortable by:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
