Bank Food Catering Assistant
Patient and Visitor Catering Team Leader – NHS Golden Jubilee
The primary role of this position is to provide patient and visitor catering services to all customers, patients, departments, and business tenants within the hospital. This includes strict adherence to Health and Safety and Food Safety Regulations at all times.
About the Role
- Work within a dynamic team on rotational shifts to deliver a high-quality, patient and visitor-focused service.
- Serve in various environments, including galley dining rooms, vending machines, and shifts across the site.

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering efficient and friendly food service operations, including till management.
- Operatively maintaining and cleaning multiple high-traffic vending machines.
- Supporting the team in monitoring compliance with NHS Policies, Procedures, and Food, Fluid & Nutrition Standards.
- Working in a fast-paced, busy hospital environment to ensure exceptional service.

Training & Commitment
Applicants must successfully complete four weeks of training before progression. This includes:

Two weeks of day shifts (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Mon–Fri).

Two weeks of night shifts (12:00 AM – 8:00 AM).

Experience & Qualifications
- Essential:
- Relevant experience in similar high-volume food service environments.
- Till management and vending machine maintenance experience.
- Desired:
- Knowledge of NHS Food Lymph Services standards.
- NHS Golden Jubilee is open to flexible working options for this role.
Requirements
- Must comply with UK immigration rules – no Certificate of Sponsorship available for Skilled Worker or Health & Care Worker Visas. Overseas candidates are advised to explore alternative immigration routes.
