Bank Hand Therapist
Bank – Advanced/Specialist Hand Therapists
Location: HCA UK at the Shard Outpatient Physiotherapy Department (London Bridge Hospital)
Shifts: Bank shifts available on Wednesdays & Fridays, 7.5-hour shifts, between 08:00–20:00
Pay: Bank hourly rate between £26.51–£35.35 per hour, dependent on shift and experience.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Advanced/Specialist Hand Therapist to join our Physiotherapy Bank at HCA UK at the Shard, part of the London Bridge Hospital (outstanding CQC rating).
The Hand Therapist will manage a specialised caseload of patients with non-surgical and surgical hand/wrist/upper limb injuries, including:
- Traumatic and elective cases
- Post-operative rehabilitation
- Wound management, suture removal, and thermoplastic splinting
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy
- HCPC registration
- Significant postgraduate clinical experience in:
- Treating a wide range of hand and wrist conditions (traumatic & non-traumatic)
- Post-operative rehabilitation
- Biomechanical overuse conditions (work-related)
- Wound management, suture removal, and thermoplastic splinting
- Relevant postgraduate training (preferably BAHT-accredited or equivalent master’s-level modules)

Location: HCA Healthcare UK, London Bridge Hospital (@The Shard)
Contract Type: Bank – flexible shifts
Available days: Monday–Friday, 08:00–20:00
Pay: Bank hourly rate between £26.51–£35.35 per hour, dependent on shift and experience.
About the Role
Join our growing Outpatient Physiotherapy Bank team at HCA UK. As part of our bank, you’ll secure first refusal on shifts across our hospital network (all CQC-rated Good/Outstanding) with flexibility while working alongside top consultants and colleagues.
This opportunity includes:
- Cross-location exposure with one of the largest private healthcare providers in the UK
- Advanced/associate-level roles with specialisms in:
- Neuro/Vestibular (essential)
- Broad neurological and facial condition management
What You’ll Bring
- HCPC registration
- Physiotherapy degree qualification
