Hand Therapists / Specialist Hand Therapists (Bank) – Advanced Hand Therapists
Role: Advanced Hand Therapists / Specialist Hand Therapists
Location: HCA UK, Shard Outpatient Physiotherapy Department (part of the London Bridge Hospital)
Shifts: Bank shifts on Wednesday & Friday, 7.5-hour shifts (0800–2000)
Pay: Bank hourly rate between £26.51ph – £35.35ph, dependent upon shift and experience.
What This Role Involves
We are seeking an experienced Hand Therapist to join our Physiotherapy Bank at HCA UK at The Shard. The role specialises in hand, wrist, and upper limb rehabilitation, including both non-surgical and post-operative cases.
Responsibilities
- Managed caseload comprising of traumatic and elective hand/wrist reconstructions
- Specialised treatment of upper limb conditions, including wound management, suture removal, and thermoplastic splinting
- Assessment and management of work-related biomechanical overuse conditions
- Rehabilitation of patients post trauma and surgery (e.g., ligament repairs, tendon transfers)
Requirements
Essential:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy
- HCPC registration
- Significant postgraduate Hand Therapy clinical experience in treating traumatic/non-trauma hand/wrist conditions
- Experience in post-operative rehabilitation, including suture removal and splinting techniques
- Experience assessing and treating work-related biomechanical overuse injuries
- Relevant postgraduate training or specialist master’s-level qualification (e.g., BAHT accreditation or equivalent)

Neuro Outpatients Physiotherapist – Bank
Role: Specialist Physiotherapist / Advanced Physiotherapist (Neuro/Vestibular)
Location: HCA Healthcare UK, London Bridge Hospital at The Shard
Contract Type: Bank shifts (Monday–Friday, 0800–2000)
Pay: Bank hourly rate between £26.51ph – £35.35ph, dependent upon experience and role.
About the Role
We’re looking for **Physiotherapists with specialist experience in neurological rehabilitation (including vestibular conditions) to help further strengthen our Outpatient Physiotherapy Bank Team.
Given first refusal on favourable bank shifts across our network of CQC-rated hospitals, the role offers flexibility while ensuring access to inspiring environments and clinician support.
Responsibilities
- Comprehensive management of neurological and vestibular patients
- Increased exposure to advanced clinical cases across our redo-rated network
- Reconstruction of rules and treatment protocols to align with best practice
Requirements
Essential:
- HCPC registration
- Physiotherapy degree qualification
- Extensive experience in treating neurological and ophthalmological conditions
- Experience working in an outpatients setting
- Postgraduate training in related specialism (e.g., Neurology/Neuro) and CPD contributions
