Bank Healthcare Assistant

Bank Healthcare Assistant (Nights) – Wards

Summary

Bank Healthcare Assistant | HCA | Wards | Nights | Bank, Ad hoc shifts 📍 Southend

Spire Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Bank Healthcare Assistant to join their dynamic ward team for night shifts, supporting Registered Nurses.

We manage a 33-bedded Surgical Ward across specialties including:

  • Orthopaedics
  • Bariatrics
  • General Surgery
  • Vascular
  • Plastics
  • Gynaecology (Gynae)
  • Ophthalmology
  • Spinal
  • Urology
  • ENT

Our facility also includes 3 operating theatres (2 laminar flow) and an endoscopy unit.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Providing carative support to patients alongside qualified nursing teams
  • Assisting with observations, ECG monitoring, Phlebotomy procedures
  • Supporting manual handling tasks in line with healthcare protocols

Who We’re Looking For

You will need:

  • Prior hospital experience
  • Phlebotomy training, preferred
  • NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care experience (ideal)
  • A caring approach with strong customer service abilities
